What is Anime

Anime is Japanese animation. Japanese animation, unlike animation in other countries, is designed mainly for teenagers and adults. Most likely, it was because of this that the anime gained high popularity around the world. Serious topics and problems are revealed by funny cartoon characters with a peculiar rendering. Anime is a large layer of Japanese culture. While all over the world animated films and TV series are usually shot based on fiction films, in Japan anime is the primary genre that influences others. Based on anime, films, clips are shot, themed parties are held. Sources for the plot of anime series are most often: manga (Japanese comics), light novel (light novel), or computer games (usually in the visual novel genre).

Films usually retain the graphic style and other features of the original. Other sources are used less often, for example, works of classical literature. There are also animes that have a completely original plot (in this case, the anime itself can serve as a source for creating book and manga versions of it). Some of the most popular anime are: Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball, Death Note, Pokémon, Re: Zero Starting Life in Another World, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Neon Genesis Evangelion, One Piece, Monogatari Series, Clannad, Naruto, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Tokyo Ghoul
